Wood Hardener, 15 gr.
This is a small quantity in a dropper bottle to try out for testing before you spend the money for a whole can at the hardware store. It's a low viscosity fluid which penetrates decayed or rotten wood and hardens it, providing a more solid base upon which you can add fillers to restore the surface. It's made by Minwax. It would be for relatively small patches because it's sold in pints. I didn't see any larger containers (and don't see any advertised on the internet). I would expect it to be a thinned urethane because urethanes start to cure when exposed to moisture (which would still be somewhat present in "dry" wood). The container says this:
"Penetrates deep into wood
Reinforces soft wood fibers
Forms a solid base for filling"
and:
"Minwax High Performance Wood Hardener is a quick-drying liquid, formulated to strengthen and reinforce decayed or rotting wood. The hardener penetrates deep into the wood and it's special resin binds and reinforces the decayed wood fibers. The wood is sealed against further moisture penetration and hardens to a rock-solid base for filling."-

This problem usually occurs with multiple items. We have free shipping on many of our items. In your cart items will have the sum of all embedded shipping costs. If you place an order for 3 or more "FreeShip" items, you will receive a "rebate" for the excess shipping. The more items you have the greater the shipping refund will be. You can also message us to ask what the total cost of your order will be when excess shipping is refunded before you purchase.
Or, if you see "Request a Custom Order" or "Message Seller", you can request a custom order and your items will be put in a custom listing with the correct shipping. You would purchase it like any other listing.

Seller made the best attempt to wrap it up tight but it leaked a bit in transit. Still, very convenient to get just the right amount for a small repair!

My job was small so I didn't need much. This stuff is amazing. Once I got the shine from two applications, I skim coated with wood filler, primed and painted. Everything looks brand new. Thanks so much. jean
