This is wood filler that's designed for large or small projects. It works best on new, unfinished wood like newly made wood furniture or wood flooring. But with some extra preparation it can be used on any wood. Large areas can be troweled by adding higher amounts of water to the mixture. This is a high quality wood filler. It is added to water when needed (so you only use the amount you need). It's better to add the powder to the water and allow the powder to completely soak up water before mixing (it tends to eliminate lumps). Power mixing is recommended for larger quantities.
The starting point for proportions of powder/water are 1 pound of powder stirred into 3/4 cup of water. By weight it would be 100 grams of powder to 40 grams of water. If you need it to be wetter or drier just change the proportions accordingly.
The supplier calls this color "White Oak". They have 16 different colors! (We only have it in the one color to see if there's any customer interest in it.) It dries to a slightly darker and less yellow color than the color of the powder. If you need an exact color match, test it in a small area. This color will come close to most light color woods. It takes stain similar to a hardwood.
It dries into a vey strong (and hardwood hardness) patch. On new wood it sticks tenaciously. It doesn't shrink which is part of the reason it adheres. This is far superior to non-water based patching products like "Plastic Wood". It applies very easily, and it matches the properties of wood quite well. If you smear/trowel it over the entire wood surface it will stay in tiny cracks/dents/holes in the wood after sanding. It won't pull out of the smallest recesses. Cleaning excess off before it dries by scraping the wood with the edge of a trowel or with a putty knife will lessen the amount of sanding you have to do.
If you have large gouges or holes to fill, it's advisable to fill them from the bottom up in layers. Apply the first layer in the bottom of the gouge, making sure it's contacting the wood and that there are no gaps between the patch and the wood at the bottom of the gouge. Then wait until that layer is thoroughly dry and add the next layer, and so on.

If you place an order for 3 or more "FreeShip" items, you will receive a "rebate" for the excess shipping. The more items you have the greater the shipping refund will be. You can also message us to ask what the total cost of your order will be when excess shipping is refunded before you purchase.
Or, if you see "Request a Custom Order" or "Message Seller", you can request a custom order and your items will be put in a custom listing with the correct shipping. You would purchase it like any other listing.
